Yorkville's entire eastern and northern perimeters are flanked by parks and other green space. Ramsden Park has outdoor ice rinks, playgrounds, baseball diamonds and off-leash dog park. A wading pool and more than 10 outdoor tennis courts are some other recreational highlights of this urban park. This municipal green space is conveniently located just steps away from the Rosedale Station that's served by the TTC rapid transit system. Rail tracks mark the border between the neighborhood and Severn Creek Park. Lawren Harris Park and Harold Town Park are some other small green spaces that flank the district's eastern edge. Centrally nested in the community, Jesse Ketchum Park has some children's playgrounds and a soccer facility. This urban green space honors a prominent political leader of Upper Canada in the middle of the 19th century.

Yorkville is home to several Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) subway stations, which are all located underground. The Bloor-Danforth 2 Line stops at Bay Station in the southwestern corner of the district. This line and the Yonge-University Line 1 serve the Bloor-Yonge Station. A one-way ride from this stop and Union Station in downtown normally takes just less than 15 minutes. Designated for eastbound and westbound traffic, Davenport Road cuts through the central part of the community. Multiple TTC bus routes stop along this major road, including the 5, 6, 142 and 97B. Several Bike Share Toronto stations are also set up on Davenport Road and other wide streets in the neighborhood.
