AirlinesAir Canada is by far the busiest company at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Based in Terminal 1, the national carrier offers direct flights to more than 40 international destinations. Air Canada Express mostly operates flights to cities in Canada and the United States. Additionally, Air Canada Rouge offers trips to popular vacation destinations in Central America, South America and the Caribbean. Most of the domestic flights at YYZ are operated by WestJet, which is designated as a low-cost company. This carrier connects Toronto to more than 20 foreign and domestic destinations. Terminal Layouts and AmenitiesOccupying just more than 3.7 million sq feet, Terminal 1 at Toronto Pearson International Airport has world-class amenities. The Plaza Premium Lounge, Maple Leaf Lounge and Air Canada Signature Suite are located in this terminal. From the Body Shop and Relay to Omega and Gucci, Terminal 1 has dozens of retailers that sell fashionable clothing, electronics and travel accessories. Offering financial services for domestic and international travel, the CIBC Banking Centre has multiple branches throughout the airport. Ground TransportationRunning approximately every 15 minutes, the Union Pearson Express connects Toronto Pearson International Airport with Union Station in the downtown district. A one-way trip between the airport and this major train station takes about 25 minutes. The UP Express station is situated on an elevated platform at Terminal 1. The Link Train is a rapid service that takes passengers between the UP Express stop and Terminal 3. The airport is also served by several regional bus companies, including the TTC , GO Transit, Miway and Brampton Transit. Car rental desks are set up in Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. All taxis and limos at the airport should have a valid GTAA number clearly displayed on the window and bumper plate. Hotel shuttles stop near the Ground Level of Terminal 1 and Arrivals Level of Terminal 3. Additionally, both terminals at YYZ have curbside areas for ride-sharing services. Multiple pedestrian bridges connect this parking facility with the terminal building.
