With a rich heritage dating to 1974, the Canadian International AutoShow is the largest automotive show in Canada. Typically held in a major convention complex in the heart of Toronto, this annual event displays more than 1,000 new models from the world’s leading auto manufacturers.
Exhibits, Amenities and Other Highlights
If you’re interested in checking out the latest vehicles from Asia’s leading car makers, go to the Level 300 section of the Canadian International AutoShow. Honda, Hyundai, Mitsubishi Motors and Mazda proudly present their updated vehicles in this part of the exhibit. Are you fascinated by electric cars? Take a look at various Tesla models at Level 100. More than a dozen new electric vehicles will also be available for test drives during the event. This part of the show also features the Auto Exotic presentation with several notable participants, such as Pagani, Lotus and Singer.
If you’re curious about the latest trims from top American auto brands, browse the Level 800 exhibits. From GMC and Ford to Chevrolet and Buick, the floor is lined with cutting-edge vehicles that cater to North American consumers. The Level 800 galleries also include some of the world’s hottest sports cars, including Aston Martin, Bugatti, Porsche and Lamborghini. Additionally, this part of the auto show features models from renowned luxury brands, such as Bentley, Land Rover and Jaguar.
Some notable sponsors for the 2020 event include Continental Tires, Castrol, TD Bank and the Toronto Start. Additionally, more than 20 exhibitors will be based in kiosks and booths throughout the show. Visitors will get the chance to interact with representatives from companies that provide B2B and B2C automotive services.
In addition to displaying hundreds of new cars, this auto show has several exhibits and features, some of which focus on vehicles from different eras. For example, the OBLIVION displays several models from the 1980’s and 1990’s, including the iconic DeLorean and Pontiac TransAM from popular Hollywood productions. Visitors could also enter the Rock the Road Raffle, which offers the Toyota GR Supra sports car as a prize.
When and Where is the Show?
The 2020 Canadian International AutoShow is scheduled to start on February 14 and runs through to February 23, 2020, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in the North Building (255 Front St West) and the South Building (222 Bremner Blvd). During this popular nine-day event in downtown Toronto, visitors are strongly encouraged to use the TTC subway trains and streetcars. The world-class MTCC is conveniently located within walking distance of Union Station and the underground Toronto PATH network. The Skywalk provides a direct link between the convention center and the busy rail station.
