Canada's Wonderland

The U.S. has Disney World, and Canada has Canada’s Wonderland. This massive theme park 30 minutes north of Toronto features over 65 rides, the popular Splash Works water park, and dozens of kid-friendly attractions including the Kidzville play area and the themed Nickelodeon Central. With new rides and attractions added every year, Canada’s Wonderland is wildly popular summer destination for families.

The Rides

Canada’s Wonderland boasts some of the most thrilling rides and roller coasters in North America, and thrill seekers will love the huge variety to choose from. Spin 360 degrees on the Riptide, free fall from over 200 feet on the Drop Tower, or soar down the Minebuster, the longest and largest wooden roller coaster in Canada. From the gravity defying Psyclone to the wildly looping Shockwave, be prepared for an exciting day of twisting, turning, spinning fun!

There are also plenty of calmer, more relaxing rides at the park that are suitable for kids of all ages. Board a raft and ride the rapids at the popular White Water Canyon attraction. Or enjoy a leisurely spin around the enchanting century-old carousel. From the swinging pirate ship to the high-flying swings, there is something for everyone at Canada’s Wonderland.

The Water Park

Towering speed slides, 50 feet of free-fall plunges and a massive outdoor wave pool are just some of the fun water activities at Canada Wonderland’s Splash Works. This huge water park, which spans an incredible 20 acres, features over two million gallons of heated water. Whether you are racing down the Riptide Racer or the Barracuda Blaster, the water slides at Splash Works are an exhilarating experience. If you prefer a more relaxing water experience, kick back on a raft and float your way down the Lazy River. The water park also features a play area for younger children with waterfalls, spinning jets and lots of hands-on activities.

Just For Kids

There are tons of attractions to delight children at Canada’s Wonderland, and three areas filled with rides and games just for the little ones. Get your picture taken with your favourite characters at the themed Nickelodeon Central and Hanna-Barbera Land, which regularly feature new rides and attractions. Head to Swan Lake and glide through the water on giant swan. Finally, wander through the maze in Kidzville, then stop and have a bite to eat at one of the restaurants in the colourful Town Square.

Food and Shopping at the Park

From the famous funnel cakes to the sugary sweet Tiny Tom Donuts, there are lots of tasty treats to enjoy at Canada’s Wonderland. The park features several fast-food outlets, full service restaurants with kid’s menus, and an international all-you-can-eat buffet which offers a wide variety of cuisines, unlimited drinks and a full dessert bar with make-your-own sundaes. For families who prefer to pack their own snacks, a Picnic Pavilion is located just outside the front gates of the park.

There are plenty of places to shop at Canada’s Wonderland, which features stores with everything from toys, music, clothing, jewellery and sports gear. Visitors looking to indulge their sweet tooth should visit the Sweet Shoppe, which offers favourites like candy apples, fudge and cotton candy, as well as a wide variety of novelty treats. And if you’ve forgotten an essential like film, batteries, suntan lotion or even your swim suit, you can pick it up at the Splash Surf Shop or at the souvenir store located at the front gates of the park.

Events and Entertainment

Each season Canada’s Wonderland offers a full schedule of live shows and performances in the International Showplace and Wonderland Theatre, as well as a busy calendar of events and cultural festivals at the 15,000 seat Kingswood amphitheatre. (A separate ticket is required for admission to Kingswood events.)

Canada's Wonderland

Canada's Wonderland is located north of Toronto at the Rutherford Road exit off Highway 400, ten minutes north of Highway 401. Ample parking is available. The park is also accessible by public transportation- Wonderland Express "GO" Buses run from the Yorkdale and York Mills subway stations on a regular basis.

The park is open seasonally from May to October. One and two-day admission tickets are available, as well as season passes which include unlimited visits to the park throughout the season and access to all the rides and attractions as well as the Splash Works water park.

Guests can rent strollers and wheelchairs at the park. Lockers and kennel rentals are also available.
